Anger & Love
Book of emotions – audiovisual concert on base of Bulgakov’s “The Master and Margareta”
Based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s outstanding novel „The Master and Margarita“ we introduced a new performance idea called „Audio-visual concerts of emotions“. These storytelling concert are a combination of classical music, readings and video art. Different “emotion rooms” are created and the audience can “re-feel” these emotions live during the concert…
In the programme we asked important questions of all of us: What do we desire? What/who prevents our wishes from coming true? Is there something/someone driving us? Is there true love? How about true freedom?
Bulgakov’s text introduced these questions and put them in relation with emotions, which were found later in the music and the video projections.
Various pieces from 19th and 20th century (Mendelssohn, Liszt, Fauré, Khachaturian, Shostakovich, Ligeti) partly arranged for small chamber ensemble.
